Neil Patrick Harris Confirmed To Return For A Very Harold And Kumar Christmas![]()
There were many gasps and tears from audiences watching Harold and Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay when Neil Patrick Harris, king of all that is awesome, was shot in the back by Beverly D'Angelo. Lying motionless on the ground, it seemed as though the best part of the franchise had reached the end. But if you know the power of NPH, you know that he's, in fact, indestructibl, as evidenced by a short clip after the credits which show him rising back to his feet. So what's next then? A Very Harold And Kumar Christmas, of course.
Speaking with the actor on the set of The Smurfs, Hollywood.com has confirmed that the actor will be back for the third film of the franchise, which is currently shooting in Troy, Michigan. While this is the first confirmation that Patrick Harris will be in the film, writers Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg wrote the script for the next installment assuming his reprisal. In the film, Harris will once again play himself, but this time will be co-hosting a TV Christmas special with Kelly Ripa, though it is unknown if Ripa has yet to sign on to the film. Take your pick: is this news epically awesome or awesomely epic? Though it borders on tragic that he has chosen to take part in The Smurfs, the man is still one of the funniest actors working today. Now the only question that remains is what illicit substance he will be tripping on this time around. |
