New Avatar Trailer Officially Online, Has James Cameron Changed Your Mind?

New Avatar Trailer Officially Online, Has James Cameron Changed Your Mind? The buzz around Avatar has, so far, been strangely mixed. Some have latched on to James Cameron’s claims that this is the best thing since sliced bread while others just don’t seem to get it. Till now you’d counted me among that second group, the group that hasn’t been impressed.

But now the movie has a brand new trailer and this could be the one to turn it around. Granted it’s not in 3D, the way Cameron insists the movie is meant to be seen, but naked blue aliens are still naked blue aliens, with or without polarized glasses and an IMAX screen. Besides this time, showing off the movie’s not as impressive as advertised special effects isn’t the point. This second trailer is focused firmly on story, full of epic (but sort of cliché) speeches about freedom and backed by epic fighting music. It’s still not perfect but I definitely like this a lot better than the last one. The addition of Michelle Rodriguez helps. Frankly I’ll take her over CGI whatsits any day.

The new Avatar trailer has just officially popped online and you can watch it below or in sweet, sweet HD on Yahoo. Has it changed your mind?

For a closer look, I've included detailed screencaps from the second Avatar trailer below:
