The continuation of Star Wars is managing to follow successfully in the footsteps of its predecessors. With each new trailer I’m slightly less interested in seeing the next chapter.
I don’t know what it is. When the first trailer for the upcoming Star Wars: The Clone Wars arrived I was intrigued. In an animated format, it looked like the new movie would press on the action, leaving behind the awkward dialog and politicking behind in favor of lightsaber battles and space combat. Now the latest trailer is almost nothing but action, with all hints of the story lost to the glamour of dueling. That Christopher Lee impersonator is so dead on I had to check that it wasn’t actually Lee, but that’s really the only highlight here.
Is it just me? Is anyone else losing interest in more Star Wars adventure? Click here to take a look at the exclusive new trailer and let me know if I’m crazy or if you agree that perhaps the Lucas people are overcompensating with too much action and not enough substance.
