Paramount has just released an exciting, brand new image from that movie everyone’s talking about, Cloverfield. They’re finally dropping the curtain they’ve had over this thing and laying all their cards on the table to let us see what the movie is really about. Are you ready for it? Because this image answers everything.
Ok, here goes. Cloverfield is about two guys drinking beer, on a reality television show. I know, it isn’t obvious at first, and from some of the trailers you might have been led to believe there’s a giant monster involved. But that, like everything about this movie, is just a red herring. If you look closely at the image below, you’ll be able to make out the beer in the hand of the guy on your left. And in the background, note the cameraman. See what I mean? Finally Cloverfield’s secret premise is revealed. It’s Big Brother: The Movie.

Didn't the original plot layout say that it's a going away party and we are watching what happens from the point of view of a (some) videographer(s) that is at the party?
