New Dark Knight Poster Features Joker![]()
I’m really digging the visual style of the advertising for The Dark Knight. Where Batman Begins featured posters that were very meditative and offered pretty iconic shots of the silhouetted figure of Batman at dawn (a nice visual metaphor for the beginning of the hero), the new images are filled with destruction and debris. This is obviously going to be a much more chaotic film, full of damage, metaphoric and physical – something that seems incredibly appropriate given the Joker’s appearance and the birth of Two-Face.
Batman on Film has gotten their hands on a new Joker poster that matches the chaotic Batman and Batcycle posters we’ve gotten previously. It doesn’t quite have the majestic appearance of the Batsymbol emblazoned on a burning building, or the visceral action of the Batpod crashing out of a building (in fact, my first response was this might be a photoshop job rather than an official poster), but it’s still pretty cool nonetheless. Since the studio is doing its best not to reveal the appearance of Two-Face until the movie, expect this to be the closest thing we get to a villain poster for The Dark Knight. You can see a small version of the poster below, or click over to Batman on Film to see the grande version. |
