New Green Lantern Trailer Finally Gives The Supporting Cast Some Attention![]()
Looking back on the recent marketing for Warner Bros. Green Lantern you may have noticed that every trailer and TV spot has been pretty heavily focused on Hal Jordan, our titular hero played by Ryan Reynolds. Sure, Sinestro (Mark Strong) and Tomar-Re (Geoffrey Rush) have gotten a few words in, but it's been the Hal Show for much of the past month. This newest theatrical trailer changes that.
The first full trailer since the disaster that was posted last November, the film tells the story of the first human to join the ranks of the Green Lantern Corps, an intergalactic force sworn to protect worlds against evil. When a force called Parallax - a pure manifestation of fear - threatens to destroy Earth, it is up to Hal to use his new powers and responsibilities to stop it. Check out the trailer below or in HD over on Yahoo! This may be my favorite Green Lantern trailer yet, and I've really loved everything they've been putting out since WonderCon. As hinted at in the trailer and the first paragraph, this is the first trailer to give any attention to the Hector Hammond side of the story, actually giving Peter Sarsgaard, Tim Robbins and Angela Bassett some lines to read instead of just standing around. It stands to be an important part of the story and considering that the effects on Sarsgaard were largely done practically they've looked good since day one. Green Lantern hits theaters on June 17 and for more on the film, including images, posters, trailers and more, be sure to head over to our Blend Film Database. |
