New Image From Skyline Kicks Off The Invasion![]()
Before images of the gigantic Skyline banner in honor of Comic-Con flooded Twitter, I’d never even heard of the film. Minus a brief casting update announced back in February, there’s been little to no coverage on the latest from the Strauss brothers, which might have something to do with the quality of their last directorial venture, Alien vs. Predator: Requiem. However, not hearing much about Skyline is actually working in the brothers’ favor because now I’m interested.
Drew McWeeny of HitFix won’t be moderating the Universal SF panel until tomorrow, but he’s still got a little something to share, the film’s official synopsis and an image. In the sci-fi thriller Skyline, strange lights descend on the city of Los Angeles, drawing people outside like moths to a flame where an extraterrestrial force threatens to swallow the entire human population off the face of the Earth. It stars Donald Faison, Eric Balfour, David Zayas, Scottie Thompson and Brittany Daniel. Faison plays Terry, an entrepreneur who gets his longtime pal, Jarrod (Balfour), to come out to Los Angeles for a visit. The two spend a night partying and wake up with something much worse than a hangover; they wake up to an alien attack. Check out the very first still from the film below and keep an eye out for more material because between tomorrow’s panel and a fast-approaching November 12th release date, promo material is bound to hit full force soon. ![]() For more complete Comic Con coverage go here. |
