The audience for the Oscars might not normally be the crowd to get excited about summer blockbusters, but with Avatar and District 9 in the running this year, apparently the fanboy audience will be present and accounted for. That's what Paramount seems to be hoping for, at least, as they've announced plans to premiere the new Iron Man 2 trailer during a special episode of Jimmy Kimmel that will run after the Oscars on Sunday.

ABC sent out the press release announcing the news, noting that Robert Downey Jr. will be on hand to present the trailer, to be followed up by Keith Urban, of all people, singing a new song. Not sure if there's supposed to be a connection between the two or if they just managed to book them at the same time, but all you combination country music and Marvel fans will finally have the show tailor made for you.
