Thank god that Lorne Michaels had the good sense to invite Alec Baldwin on SNL, else he might still be stuck somewhere doing third rate dramas. Instead, we discovered his comedic genius through the likes of Canteen Boy and we’re all the better for it. Now he plays one of the funniest characters on television, he’s sure to be one of the funniest Oscar hosts in recent memory, and he’s getting partial nude in a comedy with Meryl Streep.
It’s called It’s Complicated and we have the movie’s second trailer. But for Baldwin, this would surely be a snooze. Instead every moment he’s on screen is golden. As a bonus, he’s competing with Steve Martin for Streep’s affection, consider it a preview of this year’s Oscars when they’ll share hosting duties together on the Academy Awards stage.
