Whether or not you’re on board with Rob Zombie’s re-imagining of Halloween, the big question on just about every fan’s mind has to be: What will Michael Myers look like? Zombie answered that question yesterday on his MySpace Blog and the answer is: Exactly the same.
He says they’ve finished making the mask that Tyler Mane will wear as Myers and insists: “It looks perfect. exactly like the original. Not since 1978 has the shape looked so good.”
I’ve been pretty opposed to most of these lame remakes of classic horror movies we’ve had to suffer lately. The Hills Have Eyes, The Hills Have Eyes 2, Wicker Man, When a Stranger Calls, and so on. They haven’t just been unnecessary, they’ve all been godawful bad. But what Zombie’s doing with Halloween may be exactly what the franchise, and maybe even the genre needs. He seems to be making all the right moves. Let’s see what happens.

I'm not a fan of remakes either, learning that you can't redo something that was done right the first time. I painfully realized that fact with the ultra-bad "Omen" remake. I am still initially unsure how I feel about this "Redo", but being a "Halloween" fan, and from what I read of the little tibits of info that pop up on occassion seem encouraging. Rob Zombie seems to know what he's doing. I once heard him say in an interview that he knows how lame remakes are and I've heard about his plans to remain faithful to the original movie. So I'll give this one a chance.
I want michael myers mask because i just live it and I do like Halloween movies but i dont like Halloween 3 because michael is not play in it so there is no action in that film.
i am a huge michael myers fan! i have seen all of his movies! i am really looking forward to watching the new halloween! and i love his new mask! by the previews it looks like the movies is going to rock ! good job and thank you rob zombie!
This movie looks incredible.I'm looking forward to buying the soundtrack and toys
weather the movie suck or not.I don't know about you guys but I think house of 1000 corpses and the devil's rejects were the most retarded horror movies ever made.I'm a huge Halloween fan so I'll give this movie a chance bye seeing it in the theaters.I hope Rob Zombie does not ruin a classic by packing it with more
sex then violence like he always does in his movies.
If this movie sucks it's official.Rob Zombie is the worst horror director in the history of man kind.But if this movie is as good as they say it is it might save his
career.
