Have you had enough top ten lists yet? Well, here’s another one for you: Yahoo! Movies’ top ten most-viewed trailers of 2009. Apparently this was a huge year for trailer streaming. The two that top the list were both viewed over 20 million times. It’s no surprise that those two trailers are for New Moon and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and it’s expected that they’re joined by the trailers for other blockbusters like 2012 and Terminator Salvation, but there’s one movie on the list that’s clearly a fish out of water. Can you find it?

Yes, that would be Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus in the #8 spot. I must have missed something because according to People.com, the straight-to-DVD release’s trailer hit the Internet in May and became a viral hit. It looks a little ridiculous to me, but I guess some people are into the absurdity of a shark drowning the Golden Gate Bridge.

Other than that, all of the films on the list are reasonable. The only one missing, which I thought would be a shoe-in, is Where the Wild Things Are. There’s also 9, but while it’s one of my favorite trailers of the year, I can see how it’d get snubbed here.
