PT Anderson’s There Will Be Blood has a new trailer. If his name wasn’t on the IMDB page for it, I’m not sure I’d know this was an Anderson movie. It looks nothing like anything else he’s done, there are no similarities between this and Punch Drunk Love or Magnolia or Boogie Nights. This is a stark, bleak film about a megalomaniac oil man played by Daniel Day-Lewis. The trailer is all Daniel Day-Lewis, long close-ups while Lewis dominates the frame delivering intense and inescapably gripping monologues.

I may not look like a Paul Thomas Anderson film, but it does look good.
