New Poster: Behold The Star Trek Smear!
Behold the Star Trek smear! Or at least that’s what I’m calling it. Hot on the heels of those incredible new International posters for Star Trek which we showed you earlier in the week here, Paramount has just released a new Domestic poster for the film. Once again, we Americans are getting the shaft.
Apparently attempting to cash in on the popularity of Watchmen they’ve turned the Enterprise into a Rorschach test. Or as CB’s own Matt Norris theorized to me over IM moments ago, it looks like someone decided to take pictures of the Enterprise under a sheet. Is this an Anna Leibowitz starship photo? Maybe I’m being too harsh. This is an improvement over the weird, pop-art teaser posters we’ve seen till now. It’s just hard not to be disappointed after seeing the truly beautiful, epic one sheets being used to promote the film overseas. Maybe it'll grow on me.
