This year we’ll see a glut of lower quality, animated movie in theaters. The best of them is probably going to be Cars, just because it’s from Pixar. But I’m still not sold on it.

A lot of major movie sites that were at first critical of it, are jumping on Car's bandwagon (they all seem to do this the closer any movie gets to release… a little ass kissing never hurts when you want to get exclusives), I’m still ambivalent. While it looks better than it did back when we all saw the first teaser in 2005, Cars still looks like Pixar’s weakest movie since A Bug’s Life, and maybe not even that good.

I really want to be wrong.

Though we aren’t participating in the eleventh hour ass kissing permeating the internet, Disney has allowed us to have a few new stills and character posters from the movie anyway. As you’d expect from Pixar, they look pretty sharp. To take a look, click here to visit our Cars image gallery.
