The sequel to Paul W.S. Anderson’s loathed and loved videogame adaptation Resident Evil opens today to terrible reviews, which is absolutely no indicator at all of moviegoer reaction (in this case). It’s the type of movie that if done right, could be insanely fun and still get horribly bashed. The original did, but a lot of people still seemed to like it.

In case you haven’t made up your mind whether to see it or not tonight, and don’t want to wait for my review to show up later today, ComingSoon.net is hosting a new 6-minute behind-the-scenes featurette on Resident Evil: Apocalypse. Returning for the sequel is Milla Jovovich as Alice as Racoon City gets into some heavy zombie trouble. She’s joined by everyone’s favorite heroine from the game, Jill, as well as a bevy of other hot bodies wielding heavy duty, zombie killin artillery.
