Are we ready to get excited about The Spirit after all? After Comic Con everyone seemed to have written the whole thing off as a guaranteed disaster, but now new images unearthed by /Film have the Internet once again in a tizzy over Frank Miller's splashy comic book adaptation.I've got to say, I'm not sold. They do look a little less ridiculous than those early posters with people's whitewashed faces floating on a black background. But seeing a superhero who basically just paints a circle around his eyes and calls that a disguise just doesn't quite register with me. We've got a long while to wait to see how things turn out with this movie, but if these stills give more hope to the Spirit devotees out there, well, all the better for them.
