I figured it'd be after Christmas before we saw any new advertising for Star Trek, but Paramount is constantly busy with the promotion for their big May 2009 blockbuster. MTV Movies Blog has debuted the new banner that will presumably be showing up both online and in theaters around the country. The site is also lucky enough to feature an exclusive interview with director J.J. Abrams, which is pretty thin on news but still worth reading. He insists that Leonard Nimoy's appearance as older Spock is much more than just a cameo, and also notes that the humor in the film shouldn't surprise any hard-core Trek.
