There’s a brand new Star Trek trailer on the way. Paramount announced tonight that the third trailer for JJ Abrams new Trek movie will debut on March 6th, in front of Watchmen. Hey, maybe Abrams wants the geek crowd tuned in after all. We’re hip, we’re cool.

So expect the trailer in theaters on March 6th with Watchmen and then Paramount will have it online, in high-def no less, through Apple.com on March 9th. We’ll also have it here that same day, on CinemaBlend.com. Of course since they’re delaying the trailer’s online debut, that means during the weekend between the 6th and the 9th, YouTube will be flooded with bootlegs. Paramount’s cease & desist lawyers will be kept busy.

Paramount promises the trailer will feature “brand new footage”. No remix here. A little something more to look forward to when you plop down your money to slobber over Watchmen on March 6th.
