If you were worried that Marcus Nispel’s remake of the 80s classic Conan the Barbarian wasn’t going to live up to the sheer brutality of the original, take 30 seconds out of your day to watch this brand new teaser that premiered at the most brutal of brutal websites, Facebook.

This new Conan trailer is not for the faint of heart, so don’t go in expecting ponies and daisies. It’s bloody, brutal, and it’s enough to get those who crave such things excited for the film’s August 19th release. As expected, Jason Momoa continues to rip his enemies to shreds, but he’s not the only one who gets to spill blood in this trailer. You caught a quick glimpse Ron Perlman’s Corin slashing guts, and there’s a slew of side characters smashing people to crumbly little bits. The trailer reminds me a lot of a trailer that came out for Nicolas Winding Refn’s Valhalla Rising which was simply every disgusting scene from the film cut back to back, and that was one effective trailer.
