New Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy Website Is Chock Full Of Goodies And Secrets

Tomas Alfredson's period spy thriller Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy is easily one of our most anticipated films of the fall season, so we were absolutely devastated when it was announced on Monday that that release date has been pushed back from November 18th to December 9th. Normally we would just cry in a corner or bite our fingernails while we waited to see Gary Oldman hunt down Soviet spies, but today we've been given the gift of a new viral site for the movie.

If you head over to tinker-tailor-soldier-spy.com, you will be greeted with a recording device that has an area where you can enter a password. In that space, if you type in "160911" (the film's UK release date), you will have access to a bunch of goodies from from the film. Structured to make it look like you are going up and down on an elevator in MI6 headquarters, the "Research" floor gives you a letter from the director, the "Photography Archives" has a full gallery of stills, the "Offices" floor offers an array of downloads (including an Exclusive Guide To The Circus), and the "Top Level" has the various different trailers that have been released.

Some of the floors, however, are still a secret. The "Audio Surveillance" floor has interviews that aren't yet available, but the most intriguing bit on the site is the "Basement." On that bottom level is where you are supposed to get your mission, though it won't be available until September 7th. The site says that there is a reward offered, meaning that it might be some kind of contest. We'll just have to wait and see.
