New Trailer For Get Smart![]()
I don’t feel like I’ve been paying all that much attention to the advertising, but at this point I think I’ve seen every single clip of Get Smart that’s out there. There’s Steve Carell destroying the beaded curtain .There’s Anne Hathaway doing all sorts of bendy moves to get around the lasers. There’s The Rock stapling a document to that guy’s forehead (that’s my favorite part of all).
But I guess it says something that I’m not tired of it all yet. There’s a new trailer for Get Smart up today, and it’s mostly the same stuff. But the clips are always consistently funny enough that I have to revise my earlier guess that the movie would be completely worthless. Yes, Steve Carell is essentially playing Michael Scott as a secret agent—precisely the kind of movie Michael Scott would star in if he had a choice, come to think of it. But the supporting players seem funny, the bits are half-original, and Anne Hathaway actually seems likeable here, which isn’t always guaranteed. Check out the new trailer below, but don’t over-familiarize yourself. The only thing that could make Get Smart bad is if all the funny parts are the in trailer, and you’ve seen them all too many times. WATCH IT IN HIGH-RES |
