It’s been at least five minutes since we’ve seen something new from Michael Bay’s Transformers movie, but we’ll get a brand new Transformers movie trailer for Christmas.

The trailer will debut on Yahoo Wednesday, December 20 and then it’ll show up in theaters for the first time ever this Friday in front of Night at the Museum. Yahoo has a countdown clock going on their page here just to make sure you remember.

In a post made on his blog a few days ago Michael Bay hyped the trailer a little, predicting it will be “AWESOME!” He’s a wordsmith that Michael Bay. Sadly, don’t expect to see many giant freakin transforming robots in it. He says, “I think some of my films have had good teasers but this one is just makes a statement. It's hard edged to show we are not a silly "toy" movie. We show just hints of robots - and almost none of our epic shots are in this teaser, but the movie just looks big. I had a room full of 20 Tranformers adult geeks, and they all applauded at the end.”

I’m glad to hear people liked it, but then excited Transformer geeks in a room with Michael Bay are inclined to like just about anything. I for one am tired of hints of Transformers, and would like to see an actual Transformer for a change. How about it Bay? Throw in an Optimus money shot already! I guess we’ll have to keep waiting.
