Though we'll get into the panels and booths and scoops of New York Comic Con as the weekend convention continues, you and I both know what the most fun part is: the cosplayers. Even though NYCC isn't nearly as huge as the San Diego version, people from all over show up in wild and meticulously crafted costumes, whether they're characters from comic books and movies or totally weird, original creations. On my first day at New York Javits Center I snapped some photos of some of the best costumes, along with highlights from the exhibit floor, including a booth promoting the Alien franchise Blu-Ray release that puts people in stasis chambers and, of course, a life-sized Storm Trooper.

You might not be able to make it out to New York Comic Con, but you can count on us bringing you the highlights, including the cute girl in the Captain America costume. Hey, it's Comic Con-- if people weren't walking around scantily dressed, it just wouldn't feel right.
