The promotion level is being bumped up for this summer’s Wanted, which will extend James McAvoy into the action genre. I’ve seen more trailers lately and the movie has earned its own exclusive New York Comic-Con poster – something usually reserved for movies that will appeal specifically to the comic book crowd.
Despite the increased presence of the movie, I can’t make my mind up about how interested I am. This poster isn’t really doing anything for me, featuring a heavily tattooed Angelina Jolie prominently, with McAvoy stuck in almost as an afterthought. There doesn’t even seem to be a list of names to remind people that Morgan Freeman and Terrence Stamp are involved in the movie as well.
The poster appears online through Film-o-filia, who note that this isn’t an official one-sheet for the movie, but just a Comic-con promotional tool. Click over to their site to see a larger version of the poster.
