UPDATE: Disney has let us know that the trailer is not in fact new, but just with an extra tag on the front specifically for the Scream Awards. So don't strain those eyes looking for new content, because it ain't there!

Yes, I'm well aware the Tim Burton is hard at work on his Alice in Wonderland movie, and that when the trailer debuted this summer, Burton swore it contained every bit of footage that was finished at that point.

But, well, I'm impatient! And while the new trailer available at Spike TV (and embedded below) contains a few new shots-- most of them apparently from the beginning of Alice's journey-- it's really just a slightly extended take on the trailer we've been looking at for months. Really, I'm wondering then (or if) they'll ever release the trailer shown three times at Comic Con-- set to MGMT's "Time to Pretend," it conveyed a lot more freewheeling energy than the official ones, which seem to stick closely to the Disney "magic and whimsy!" party line.

Anyway, I'm just kvetching-- obviously the footage continues to look stunning. Check out the new-ish trailer below.
