Newcomer Landry Bender Cast In David Gordon Green's The Sitter![]()
Ever since Pineapple Express was released in 2008, people have been hotly anticipating David Gordon Green's follow-up. The problem is that said follow-up, Your Highness, starring James Franco, Danny McBride, Natalie Portman and Zooey Deschanel, won't be released until April of next year (despite the fact that it's done and ready to go). As the old saying goes, however, idle hands are the devil's playthings, and Gordon Green is staying active.
THR reports that things have moved forward on the director's next project, The Sitter, starring Jonah Hill. In a story where Hill plays a college student hired to watch over two boys and an 8-year-old girl, the little girl has been cast with newcomer Landry Bender in the role. The film is currently aiming for a July 15th release, meaning that we will see two Gordon Green movies in the span of three months. It's criminal how long it's taken for Your Highness to be released (it was originally scheduled to be released next month), but hopefully a double dose next year will make up for it. Who knows? Perhaps it will be so successful that it's run will extend into July and people can double feature it with The Sitter. Sounds like a great night at the movies. |
