We don’t really need another zombie movie, but the first trailer for The Crazies totally justifies its production. It’s disconcerting, ominous and features the contextually creepy, yet awesome song “Mad World,” which you might remember from the Donnie Darko soundtrack. Sadly, the same cannot be said for the second trailer.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m still looking forward to the film, which hits theaters on February 26th, but the second trailer suggests the movie might be rather sloppy and not as original as we once thought. It shows off some possessed guys and a convoluted montage of the townsfolk freaking out, but no additional plots details and minimal new footage.
