I didn't watch the Russian Salt trailer when it hit the web last night, so when the American one finally hit the web at Yahoo! Movies, I was coming to it fresh. It seems utterly bizarre that the Russian trailer would have leaked first-- this is a movie about Russians trying to kill the President, as if it were still the Cold War. I'm sure they're thrilled about this movie in Moscow.Anyway, it looks like your average movie in which Angelina Jolie shoots guns and wears a lot of black, at least once the action gets going after Jolie's character, Evelyn Salt, is accused of being a Russian spy. In the early scenes, in which Jolie has blonde hair and wears a professional looking suit, there's something not quite right. As gorgeous as she looks in leather or whatever, this woman just doesn't pass for your average earthling in an underground room. Once she's on the run and kicking ass, things feel a lot more comfortable. You can check out the trailer below and see if you agree that Jolie, for all her beauty, should never ever go blonde again. Salt comes out next July.
