Old School 2 Gets A Title And A Life![]()
Old School was the movie that really solidified Will Ferrell's popularity and launched him as a major comedy force. It's also damned funny which means anyone who's seen it would probably be up for a sequel. A follow up has been talked about, but till now it's been nothing more than a thin rumor.
The possibility of an Old School 2 got a little stronger today, when director Todd Phillips spoke to SKNR about the film. Or perhaps I should say SKNR claims he spoke to them. They aren't the most reliable site, so take all of this with a bit of skepticism. However, the story goes that Phillips tells them that he's working on a script for the movie, which he plans to call Old School Dos. See, right there that sounds fake. Sorry, I'm a cynic. Anyway, he also told SKNR that none of the stars from the first film are signed. His plan is to use the completed script into luring them into doing it. To me, Luke Wilson is replaceable but if he can't get Will Ferrell and Vince Vaughn back, forget about it. I'm not interested. Frankly even if he can get them back, as much as I love Old School, I have the feeling that it might be one of those movies that's already done it all and hasn't left much for a sequel except revisiting the same gags over and over again. |
