In all of the commotion over Green Lantern, Deadpool, Safe House and R.I.P.D., one future Ryan Reynolds project has been getting kind of ignored: The Change Up. A comedy with Jason Bateman that was announced in March, very little news has come out of the project since. That changes today.

Deadline is reporting that Olivia Wilde has joined the cast of the long dormant project, which is based on a script by Hangover writers Jon Lucas and Scott Moore and directed by David Dobkin (Wedding Crashers). In the film, Bateman and Reynolds play a typical odd-couple - one married and hard working, the other a slacker - who switch bodies. Wilde will play Bateman's co-worker who is the reason for the change up (get it?).

Given the writers and the actors involved, I'm hoping that this won't be a typical, run-of-the-mill copy of Freaky Friday or Like Father Like Son. So, instead of complaining about the project itself, I'm just going to say the same thing I always say when a story pops up about a Ryan Reynolds project : Just do Deadpool already!
