Ondine Poster Tagline Is Oh So Tacky
Love Happens has officially been dethroned. After plastering the terrible phrase “Something when you least expect it …” over the film’s title, it earned the honor of having the cheesiest tagline imaginable. But the Colin Farrell film Ondine has one upped the Jennifer Aniston romantic drama, by having this phrase grace its new poster: “The Truth is not what you know. It’s what you believe.” You know what I can’t believe? That someone actually gets paid to come up with this crap.
The film comes from Irish director Neil Jordan and features Farrell as Syracuse, a fisherman who makes a big catch. Not fish, but a beautiful mermaid-like creature named Ondine (Alicja Bachleda). Ondine won’t hit the big screen until its limited release on June 4th, but for now check out the new poster from IMP Awards. ![]() |
