One Good And One Bad Resident Evil: After Life Poster![]()
Maybe Hollywood has just given up on posters as an option for a viable revenue stream. That seems about the only logical explanation for why we continually receive weak one sheets for just about every "big" release the industry pumps out. It is possible however that the people behind the long worn-out Resident Evil franchise have realized just how little people care about these movies and syphoned every cent from their marketing budget and dumped it back into Milla Jovovich's paycheck.
The concept clearly started like this, "Hey, The Matrix was cool. Let's rip that off!" completely ignoring the fact that people falling backwards out of windows and firing weapons into the air immediately conjures images of Carrie-Anne Moss in tight spandex. Finally, disregarding the silliness that is the incorporation of 3D into the actual title (this isn't 1994, guys), the tagline will have you longing for the hopefully near future where whether or not 3D stays or goes, it stops being the crux of marketing schemes. "Experience A New Dimension of Evil"? Really? There's nothing new about the third dimension, and movies like The Final Destination showed us the evil side of it already. Here's the latest from the "I'm Never Hanging This On My Wall" collection, courtesy of JoBlo. ![]() On the flip side, this other poster that appeared over at Ultimate-RE.com manages to at least have their lead actress look like a human and not like a Todd McFarlane action figure mock up. ![]() |
