One Sheet Wonders

Josh's One Sheet Wonders

Posters exist for movies that are coming out some time soon. We have them. We keep them to ourselves, but take pictures of them to prove to you that they actually exist. Then I make fun of them. Yes, I realized I skipped a week. Stop sending me e-mails and live in the now! This week we're riding robots with Vin Diesel.

Normally the poster for Mindhunters wouldn’t even be worth a mention. But since it's been relegated to the seventh level of date-pushback-hell, maybe this means they actually do plan on releasing it at some point. CB’s Stuart Wood should be delighted, since that’ll mean his review might finally get some attention… or not. This ought to be a lovely flop, even if the poster isn’t all that bad. I’m not sure what the Wolfman’s eye has to do with any of it, but it’s bound to be predictable.

Well the obvious joke here is that Halle Berry has just watched Catwoman and this poster depicts her reaction. I’d never say something so silly. It’s pretty easy to take potshots at Catwoman, what with it being utterly terrible and all. So, though it hurts to admit it… this poster isn’t really all that miserable.

This is a fuzzy picture of Matt Damon in a sequel to a movie that doesn’t hold up at all should you accidentally see it more than once. Damon realized this and has asked that they blur his face not only in The Bourne Supremacy’s promotional materials, but throughout the entire film in order to protect his career.

Stick Will Smith in the center, staring blankly off into space, and you have the poster for I, Robot. The Chronicles of Riddick must be counting on the inexplicable Japanese obsession with robots.

And finally a pair of posters from the upcoming Harry Potter movie showcasing some of the new environments and technologies they'll be throwing in with the kids. In the first poster, Harry has at last figured out how to operate the Stargate. Sadly, as the second poster depicts, the Stargate leads him directly to an underwater world.
