Operation Kino 84: Going Undercover With Argo And Our Favorite Spies
Author: Katey Rich | published: 2012-10-12 11:12:25
This week on Operation Kino, if we're gonna make a fake movie, it's gonna be a fake hit, as we review Ben Affleck's insanely well-received new thriller Argo. From there we talk about the spy movie genre, which Argo belongs to in part, and which will be back in a big way with the release of the new James Bond movie Skyfall next month. Before any of that, though, there's a lightning round inspired by the terrifying god-force in Sinister, then get into tidbits, in which Patches is a fan of the new HBO film The Girl, Da7e goes over the new anthology horror film V/H/S, David gives a rundown of the quality of this year's New York Film Festival, and Katey recommends the new Alex Gibney documentary Mea Maxima Culpa: Silence in the House of God. We end, as always, with your lightning round answers for dessert.
