Original Power-Twins Return To Witch Mountain

By Rafe Telsch: 2008-04-29 17:31:53
Original Power-Twins Return To Witch Mountain Disney is paying tribute to its original Witch Mountain movies in its remake in a most surprising way: the original child stars of Escape to Witch Mountain and Return to Witch Mountain are returning for brief appearances in the new film starring Dwayne Johnson, Race to Witch Mountain.

The Hollywood Reporter says the appearances of Kim Richards and Ike Eisenmann will nod to the original movies. Richards, who originally played Tia, will play a roadhouse waitress, whole Eisenmann, who played Tony, will play the sheriff in the small town where that roadhouse is located – the town of Stony Creek. Both will help out Johnson’s character, who is in turn trying to help a pair of supernaturally powered children.

Also joining the cast: Tom Everett Scott as a medical specialist, Chris Marquette as a computer specialist, and Billy Brown as a military specialist. All three appear to be on the antagonists side (who else would have a varied group of specialists laying around). Cheech Marin will also appear as a helpful mechanic.
