PCA: The People Have Spoken![]()
Ah, the People's Choice Awards! I'm not sure how the nomincations are made but the winners are picked online by anyone who can operate a mouse. It's a chance for folks who love internet polls to click on the name that gets them the most excited. Screw talent, achievement and creativity, the people will pick who they want, darn it. It's the American way.
I'll acknowledge the possibility that Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith could win as America's favorite movie of the year (they spent over $380 million dollars in the theater alone). However, only in a sad world dominated by internet geeks does it win for the favorite drama. I'm not even sure how it fits into that category but obviously too many people saw Star Wars and too few people saw Crash and Walk the Line. Another odd winner was Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson over Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt for favorite on-screen match up. Maybe the two have more pull with the internet saavy soccer moms than we thought. Anyway, the people have spoken. Check out the results below: Favorite Female Movie Star
