Paris Hilton's Organ Repossession And Opera![]()
It’s not enough these days to have a movie about the repossession of transplanted human organs. While that may seem kinda creative, apparently everyone and their brother is coming out with one in the next year or so. So, you need a twist to set your futuristic organ repossession flick apart from the crowd. And what goes better with organ harvesting than opera!
Variety says that Saw IV director Darren Lynn Bousman is getting set to shoot Repo! The Genetic Opera, starring Paul Sorvino and the girl from the Spy Kids movies, Alex Vega. The plot follows a company in 2056 which makes human organs that are required to live. If you can’t keep with the payments, the company sends a repo man to take them back. Plus it’s the singinest organ repo movie around. Sorvino will play the company owner and Vega plays the daughter of one of Sorvino’s repo men. Also starring in the movie will be Paris Hilton. That's right, Paris Hilton. She plays Sorvino's daughter and will reportedly be singing. The rest of the movie's casting isn’t as bizarre as it first sounds. Sorvino is reportedly an opera tenor of some skill and Vega is in the Broadway cast of “Hairspray” playing Penny (Amanda Bynes’ role in the movie.) Ok, it’s still sort of bizarre and it doesn’t sound like it will be able to stand up against the other organ repo movie being readied, The Repossession Mambo. That one will star Forest Whitaker and Jude Law. I’d say the star power is less than equal. |
