Following the hit girl-power HBO series “Sex & The City”, Sarah Jessica Parker has been starring in big-screen comedies. After both The Family Stone and Failure to Launch failed to, um, launch her movie career, she is putting laughter on hold and going for some good old-fashioned goose bumps.
According to Variety, Parker has signed on to star in the creepy hotel thriller Vacancy for Screen Gems. The script is written by newbie Mark L. Smith.
Vacancy is about a couple who checks into a motel, unaware of a hidden camera planted in their room—Paris Hilton style. As a result, they become unwitting targets of a snuff film operation. Parker will play the wife, who is reeling over the death of her infant son. See what happens when you believe things can't get any worse?
