Just in case M. Night messes up another one, leaving Paul Giamatti’s career in a post Lady in the Water sputter, Paul’s making sure his future is secure. He’s just signed up to work with Elvis.
Horror site Bloody Disgusting reports that the Sideways actor has agreed to be part of a sequel to the fantastically fun, cult hit, B-movie Bubba Ho-Tep. He’ll star opposite returning B-movie king Bruce Campbell, who plays a modern day, geriatric version of Elvis fighting mummies, vampires, and ghouls in an old-age home.
The first movie had Elvis and John F. Kennedy battling a wild-west mummy with a proclivity for sucking souls out of the anus’s of old people. Presley’s second adventure pits him against a coven of foul she-vampires. They’re calling it Bubba Nosferatu. Paul it seems, will take the role filled by John F. Kennedy in the last film, that of Elvis’s sidekick. He’ll play Colonel Tom Parker.
Also returning is Don Coscarelli, who wrote and directed the last film. He’ll write and direct again, which means you can expect more of the same bizarre brilliance from the sequel.
