Paul Rudd Wants To Send Anchorman To The Moon
Every time anyone interviews one of the original cast members of Anchorman, they're bound to ask a question about the long-rumored Anchorman 2. Now it's Paul Rudd's turn, and even though he's not behind the writing process, he's still got a vague, totally weird idea of what they're up to.
“Last I heard they were starting to write it and they were thinking about setting it in the eighties,” Rudd told MTV Movies. “[But] I know when we were shooting it [director] Adam [McKay] said if they ever did something it would have to be really weird like we were on the moon or something. "
Ron Burgundy in space?!? Maybe there will be a series of Anchorman sequels like the Muppet movies, putting all the characters in totally weird situations. Ron Burgundy Takes Manhattan!. Action News Treasure Island!. Adam McKay himself has said he likes the idea of ongoing comedy teams, so maybe the Action News team will keep making comedy after comedy for the next decade. Based on all the positive response they've gotten from all the sequel talk, that sounds like a bunch of sequels that could actually work.
