Peter Jackson Says New Trailer For The Hobbit Is Coming This Week

We're now less than three months away from the release of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. It's Tolkien Week, as Peter Jackson points out in the video he posted on his Facebook page today. In addition to wishing his fans a Merry Tolkien Week, he also made an announcement about the new trailer that's coming our way this week, as well as some "special content" that will be released.

This year's Tolkien Week celebrates the 75th anniversary of the publication of J.R.R. Tolkien's beloved fantasy adventure story The Hobbit, so what better week to unveil a new trailer for the first part of Peter Jackson's anticipated feature adaptation of the novel? According to the video he recently posted, the trailer will arrive this Wednesday (September 19)…



"It's gonna be an exciting week," Jackson says. And with the promise of a new trailer and some unspecified special content, I doubt he's overstating things.
