I hadn't heard anything about Crank until the film's first one sheet showed up in my inbox today, but the poster has a guy holding a gun, so now I'm paying attention. I think guns are good.

The movie is the next from Transporter star Jason Statham, and it's the story of a hit man who's been poisoned with a drug that will kill him if he stops moving. It's kind of like a biological version of Speed. If Jason Statham stops karate kicking he'll explode.

Lionsgate has sent us the first teaser poster for the film, along with a few images from it. Crank hits theaters on September 1st, a little outside the summer movie season window. Don't expect too much.
