MOVIE NEWS
Pictures Of The Man Samuel L. Jackson is on my TV right now touting himself as the number one box office star on the planet… or something. If that’s true, it isn’t because he’s doing a ton of quality films, or even movies that a lot of people see. It’s just that he’s in a lot of movies. A lot of them are mediocre crap.
The really annoying thing about it is that I, like just about everyone, really like Sam. He’s talented, charismatic, and one heck of a badass. He also makes a lot of throwaway movies that make moderate amounts of money. Coach Carter anyone? Damn, I just wish he’d stop being so proud of it.
Well, his string of predictable, mid-level movies will continue later this year with The Man. The title makes it sound like the perfect Samuel L. Jackson flick, but the plot description makes it seem like a job for Ben Affleck. A bumbling salesman stumbles on to an ATF sting, and Jackson plays an ATF agent who takes the salesman on as a partner. What a waste of a great title. But, at least Sam has some cool hair. The point of all this is that BlackFilm.com has debuted the first photos from the 2005 film, showing Sam Jackson and his erstwhile partner/Death of a Salesman reject, Eugene Levy.
