If it’s Rafe reporting a story, it must be Muppet related.

Ain’t it Cool News has uncovered a couple of images from the upcoming Muppet made for television movie “The Muppet’s Wizard of Oz”. As reported, most likely by me, several months ago, Kermit will be playing the Scarecrow, Fozzie will be the Cowardly Lion, and Gonzo will be the Tin Man with a human cast of Ashanti as Dorothy Gale and Queen Latifah and David Alan Grier as Auntie Em and Uncle Henry. Other appearances will include Jeffrey Tambor and Quentin Tarantino.

Which reminds me, did you see the Muppet’s cameo appearance on “Saturday Night Live” last weekend? Typically I wouldn’t touch the show with a ten foot pole, but for some odd reason last Saturday my television found itself stopped on NBC just in time to see Kermit, Fozzie, Gonzo, and Animal join Horatio Sanz and Robert De Niro. Chalk up another wonderful Christmas Muppet moment.
