It’s interesting to finally see Disney begin to embrace the online community. Too many stories about studios and the internet have something to do with them removing images or shutting blogs down. Instead of removing material, Disney is bringing the trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End right to you.
The new trailer for the third Pirates film goes live on Monday, March 19th, airing on television during one of the commercial breaks for “Dancing with the Stars.” How long is it between now and that airing? Disney’s “Viral Pirate Player,” seen at the bottom of the story, will tell you.
Spiffy, eh? Head over to http://pirates.movies.com to get one for your own webpage, myspace page, or blog. When that countdown hits zero, the player will show you the new trailer too. Additional Pirates material will be made available as the movie’s release date draws closer. The player is an attempt to make the trailer available to as many people as possible, as the trailer goes live worldwide, in over 26 languages and 30 countries.
Not enough for you? How about a chance to see the trailer on the big screen the night before it airs on television? Disney’s giving you the chance with an Ultimate Fan Event contest. More information can be found at Disney.com/piratesfanevent.
If that’s still not enough Pirates news for you, head over to our At World’s End image gallery to find newly released images and character posters for the movie. Captain Jack! Barbossa! And a great look at Chinese pirate, Sao Feng! And these images won't be removed - they're 100% official, baby!

The movie is long since released, Disney has netted megaprofits, so why can't you make free images available for myspace sites? Not everybody who saw the movie wants to buy an At World's End poster. At least the website freebies give you free advertising and keeps your product in the public eye.
