Pixar And Disney Animation Announce Release Dates Through 2018
While they have missed a couple years here and there, for the most part Pixar has managed to put out just about one film a year ever since they got into the feature game with Toy Story back in 1995. But 2015 will mark a very significant change, as for the first time ever the studio will be putting out two films in one calendar year. When thinking about how much work and manpower goes into making an animated feature it's easy to recognize this as an impressive challenge, but it seems like it's one that Pixar is up to - because they've just announced yet another double dip year.
Coming Soon has gotten word that both Pixar and Disney Animation have announced release dates for their upcoming slate that programs all of their upcoming projects through 2018. Unfortunately the titles and any detail about these movies are being kept firmly under wraps at this point, as is usually the case with animated films. The interesting Pixar development is in 2017, where the multi-Oscar winning studio has announced that they will be making releases for both June and November. Check out the schedule in its entirety below.
Untitled Disney Animation - 3/4/16
Pixar's next effort, Monsters University, will be out towards the end of next month, while The Good Dinosaur was previously set for May 30th. The year 2015 will feature both Inside Out and Finding Dory, and presumably one of the dates above is for the untitled Dia De Los Muertos project. For Disney Animation, Frozen will be in theaters on November 27th of this year, while they also have Big Hero 6 scheduled for November 2014.
