Plot Details Leak In Character Descriptions From Wolverine 2![]()
With Darren Aronofsky all but confirmed as the director and the production set to begin in March 2011, things are starting to steamroll for the sequel to X-Men Origins: Wolverine. A continuation of the story begun in the first film, the script has been written by The Usual Suspects scribe Christopher McQuarrie, though little is known about the plot outside of the fact that a good chunk of it will take place in Japan. You know what a good way to find out a plot is? Character descriptions - and that's exactly what I have for you today.
Pajiba, via their inside source, has posted nine character descriptions form the upcoming superhero movie. With the exception of Logan, all of the characters will be new to the silver screen and it should be said that there are some minor spoilers involved. If you want to go into Wolverine 2 knowing absolutely nothing, feel free to stop reading here. Otherwise, read on to find out more about the upcoming film. At the start, Logan apparently gets into some trouble which results in him being imprisoned in his native Canada (you also have to remember that at this point he has an adamantium bullet lodged in his brain that has given him amnesia. A Japanese man named Zen then arrives and arranges Logan’s release, telling him that he needs to accompany him to Tokyo, Japan where he can learn about who he is and where he cam from. On the other side of the story is a Japanese man, man Shingen, whose father was Master of the Hand. Rather than letting his son take on his title, Shingen’s father kills himself with the hope that Logan will be the one to become the next Master of the hand. Shingen also has two children – Mariko and Kenuichio. Mariko is Shingen’s daughter. Though she is engaged to be married to Noburo Moro, the corrupt Minister of Justice who is in the back pocket of the Yakuza, Logan saves her life and they fall deeply in love. Kenuichio is Shingen’s illegitimate son and a master Samurai. Though he isn’t recognized by Shingen as an heir, Kenuichio attacks Logan multiple times under the pseudonym “Silver Samurai,” protecting himself with electrified armor. Other characters include Yukio, Viper and Frank Sinatra. Yukio is Logan’s female bodyguard. Though she has ties to Shingen, she recognizes Logan as her master. Viper is Minister Noburo’s secretary. She is also tremendously loyal to Shingen, and is the lover of Kenuichio. Lastly, Frank Sinatra, named after the Chairman of the Board, is Japan’s version of the famous lounge singer. He also happens to be a high ranking member of the Yakuza who feeds information to Logan. |
