Poster: Cold Souls

It's hard to imagine a more perfect-sounding Sundance movie than Cold Souls. A movie starring Paul Giamatti as an actor named Paul Giamatti, who struggles with his soul during a performance of Uncle Vanya and decides, naturally, to have it removed. Yeah, it's definitely got a touch of Charlie Kaufman, but Souls is an original script written and directed by Sophie Barthes, making her feature debut.

Our Kelly West caught the movie at Sundance, and called it "an enjoyable experience, well worth seeing for its quiet humor and for Giamatti’s superb performance." And now the movie is coming out for the rest of us on August 7, and Cinematical has debuted the mind-bending poster.

Sick of posters that just slap floating heads on a sunset and call it a day? Then you'll definitely want to check this one out, which takes the metaphor of the Russian dolls to a whole new weird, bearded level. Head to Cinematical for the full version of the snippet you see above.
