Poster For Bong Joon-ho's Mother
If you have yet to see 2006's The Host you are doing yourself a disservice as a film lover. It breathed life into the fading monster-movie genre while maintaining just the right amount of the lovable Korean camp. Now director Bong Joon-Ho is back with Mother, a thriller about a mother unraveling the mystery behind her son's wrongful imprisonment for murder. Showing at the Toronto, New York, and Cannes festivals, Mother looks to be one of the strong foreign films of the year.
This new poster shows off Kim Hye-ja protecting her simple-minded son. The poster is blurry and little boring but for some reason I like it. Mother recently showed at the Palm Springs Film Festival and Magnolia Pictures will distribute. The wideness of its release has yet to be determined. Scope out the poster below. ![]() |
