We often accuse George Lucas of overusing CGI, but let me tell you… Robert Rodriguez is a lot lot worse. I don’t care if his CGI’d up movies are just for kids, they long ago stopped being movies and became boorishly divergent videogames. No Robert, being in 3D is no frickin excuse.

Shark Boy and Lava Girl is Robert’s latest kiddie computerized adventure, and it has the potential to have the fewest location shots yet. It’s the story of all the great 80’s movies about geeky kids using their brains and imagination to do something incredible watered down and saddled with lame superheroes. Hey, see for yourselves.
